St. Morwenna – Wins a Bronze Prize– Picture Prompt and text specific entry (St. Morwenna and her Gryphon Zeus, 80 word minimum)

Oh Saint Morwenna, what do you see?
Zeus your companion standing by thee
Atop the high cliff guarding us ever
Wishing that we’d appreciate your endeavors
How have we used the church that you built?
We hurt and accuse and use it for guilt.
You observe as we sail upon the stormy sea
Vessels of rage and failed humanity.
Still you love and want only the best,
Someday we’ll heal and leave you to rest
In your bed of love, patience and peace
Comfortable when our troubles have ceased.
